Dr. Steven A. Tilliss
(Retired December 2018)
Dr. Steven A. Tilliss launched his Denver Tech Center periodontal practice 30+ years ago. A Denver native, Dr. Tilliss attended the University of Iowa obtaining his Dental degree along with completing his Periodontal residency, plus a Masters Degree in Dental Science. He remains both an Iowa Hawkeye and Colorado Buff’s fan.
Dr. Tilliss’s passion for painless periodontal treatment led him to become a trained and certified LANAP clinician, a highly successful alternative to traditional and often painful periodontal surgery.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology and the Rocky Mountain Society of Periodontics. He served as the past president of the Rocky Mountain Society of Periodontics.
In 2006, Dr. Tilliss was nominated and appointed by Colorado Governor Bill Ritter as a member of the Colorado State Dental Board for which he served a four-year term, and then reappointed by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper for a second four-year term. He served as Board president in both 2013 and 2014.
Dr. Tilliss has been selected as a 5280 Top Dentist for the past seven years consecutively. He resides in Greenwood Village with his wife, enjoying the visits of his four grown children. He is a charter member and past president of the Rotary Denver Tech Center. His passions include travel, cycling, tandem bike riding with his wife and all sports.
